Our Story: Serving South Phoenix for More Than 60 Years
Customers of Corral Cleaners, Laveen Cleaners, and Al's Cleaners may find it hard to believe that their favorite South Phoenix dry cleaners have been serving the community for over half a century.
Mr. Whitman founded Corral Cleaners in South Phoenix in 1961. After spending six years of hard work building his business, Mr. Whitman decided to sell the business in 1967 to Peter Kallas. Mr. Kallas and his family worked to build the business from 1967 to 1981. In January 1982, Mr. Kallas sold the business to Peter Popat. Mr. Kallas worked closely with Mr. Popat to train him in the ins and outs of the business. Mr. Popat and his family have owned and operated Corral Cleaners for 40 years.
Over the years, Mr. Popat expanded dry cleaning services in the area. From 1999 to 2005, there were only two dry cleaners — Corral Cleaners and Al's Cleaners — in South Mountain Village. Mr. Popat then added a third location, Laveen Cleaners.
All three locations pride themselves on creating a superior dry cleaning experience for customers. With same-day service available at all locations, we're making it easy for customers to drop off on the way to work and pick it up on your drive home. In an age where convenience is everything, Corral, Al's, and Laveen cleaners work to provide customers with everything they need in one stop.
